TRIATHLON COACHING

Confused by the volume of conflicting information and lack of knowledge? Learn from someone with the educational and hands on experience needed to make your triathlon goals become a reality.   

 

Coach Dwight has 25 years of full time experience in the Coaching, Sports Medicine, and Educational fields. In 1989 Dwight completed his first triathlon and has enjoyed 120 + more races. He has qualified for Kona twice and the Boston Marathon 3 times. The athletes and positive race environment keep him returning each year.

 

In 2010, 17 FAST coached Athletes completed in 1/2 and Full IM distance races. Ten of these athletes competed at IM WI with 2 under the 11 hour mark, 3 rookies under 12 and everyone else setting a PR. All athletes enjoyed the day due to their guided training program. Many other FAST coached athletes had successful first triathlon finishes.

 

F.A.S.T. offers Online Coaching/ Training Programs at 2 levels. 
 

Our Premium program provides detailed workouts for each day of the week based on monthly testing and 30 min. of weekly consultation. Dwight limits this group to 10 athletes to ensure each athlete’s program is custom. For 2011 he has 3 slots remaining. 
 

The Silver program provides a monthly progression of workouts based on monthly testing. Each program is custom and athletes receive 30 minutes of consultation monthly. 
 

F.A.S.T. also specializes in Running Evaluations and Private Swim Lessons. Each of these services is videotaped to assist Dwight with an already trained eye. You will leave these sessions with a plan in hand enabling you to go faster with less effort.

 

 

SPORTS PERFORMANCE
At Fitness and Sports Training, Dwight brings a trained eye, developed through 30+ years of personal athletic experience and 20+ years in the Sports Medicine and Coaching fields to each session. Dwight will help you to:

• Develop efficient athletic movement
• Optimize performance by reducing faulty movement patterns
• Create joint stability and mobility
• Increase muscular strength and endurance

 

TRIATHLON SERVICES
Learn from one of the best coaches in the Triathlon Sport. These trainings will have a positive and dramatic effect
on your triathlon experience.

 

We also offer MARATHON TRAINING (3 Boston qualifiers in 2010) specific to your goal time. All our programs are based on heart rates and interval times established with hands on testing. In addition to a detailed weekly program received via e-mail, athletes receive 20 minutes of phone or e-mail consultation time weekly.

 

 

TRIATHLON SERVICES ALA-CARTE

·    Personal Coaching Session (Technique, Food log analysis, strength program development. $60 hr

·    Swim Stroke Coaching: Includes stoke observation, video taping and analysis of technique, and home program specifics. $75 for initial session and $65 each one hour session thereafter.

·    Running evaluation: Includes joint stability and flexibility evaluation; videotaping and review; coaching based on testing and video observations; home program specifics. 90 min. session - $90.

·    Computrainer Bicycle Testing (spin scan, power test) $75 test

·    Phone Consultation: $25 hr

·    Lactate Threshold Testing: Run or Bike with Heart Rate Zone Recommendations $120 test

 

TRIATHLON 101 PACKAGE

Provides you with the information you need to train effectively, efficiently and reduce injury. Your technique in each discipline will be analyzed by a trained eye with 20+ years of coaching and rehabilitation experience.

Package includes:
• Run Evaluation- Joint Evaluation, Video Run, Recommendations
• Bike Fitting, Power Test and Spin Scan
• Swim Stroke Evaluation and Recommendations
• Strength Training Program Development - Specific to Individual
• Initial Consultation with Dwight
Fee: $265.00 (a $300.00 value)
Time Commitment 5 hours

PERSONAL TRAINING

We have a true passion for Personal Fitness and design each program to meet your specific fitness goals: strength, endurance, balance, speed and muscle tone.

Sessions are scheduled one on one or in small groups (3-6)
Clients can meet with a trainer 2-3 times weekly or have a great program designed and work independently for 3-4 weeks before meeting for an update.

 

SPORTS AND INJURY REHABILITATION

We provide those who have been released from physical therapy prior to full recovery with an avenue to regain or exceed pre-injury function. All programs are adapted for home use. We facilitate optimal performance for those with:

• Sports injuries
• Overuse injuries

• Spine injuries

 

CORPORATE WELLNESS PROGRAMS
At F.A.S.T. we work with your business to reduce health care costs and increase productivity. In 2010 F.A.S.T. served 4 Corporations with Employee Incentive Programs which included: Employee Walking Program/Competition, Weight Loss/Competition, and Discover Wisconsin Outdoor Challenge and in November the Holiday Wellness Challenge. We also provided weekly exercise sessions for employees and developed an on-site exercise facility. These programs let your employees know you are interested in their long term welfare. They have also provided an element teamwork and fun.
